Press release excerpt:

Carl Thomas is back and this time he is ready to “Conquer” the music industry with his new album out December 6th on Verve Forecast/Ume. To aid in this mission he has partnered with JimmyJazz.com, a multi-channel hip-hop fashion retailer with an award winning urban clothing and sneaker website, along with media company Souleo Enterprises, LLC, for the latest installment of the popular lifestyle campaign, “The Takeover.”

Beginning Monday December 5th, 2011 and ending Friday December 9th, Carl will be featured on the JimmyJazz.com lifestyle section with exclusive content every day of the week. During the campaign, visitors will learn of Carl’s playful and romantic side, which style looks he recommends for women, the story behind his proudest life victories, how he rediscovered his strength by travelling abroad, his reflective thoughts on his collaborator the late, Heavy D and more.

“This album is about conquering your own obstacles, and letting fans know every side of Carl Thomas, from the fun side, to love and life as well as the serious side to Carl Thomas. Partnering with Jimmy Jazz and Souleo Enterprises for The Takeover has been a great way for more fans to get a sneak preview of what to expect, ” said Carl.

“Conquer” is rooted in Carl’s determination to succeed, to follow his dreams and conquer all that has been put in front of him. The smoldering lead single, “Don’t Kiss Me” produced by Rico Love (Usher, Beyoncé), a modern-day ode to the oldie R&B track with Thomas’ signature vocal styling—with a reminiscent touch of Al Green and Marvin Gaye for good measure.
